Those subjects only lead to jobs if you go into academia/graduate school. Most grads with only a BA in humanities aren't readily employable.

If you are not apt to study the STEM from a Humanist perspective, study Liberal Arts! I also suggest a book called *"Mathematics for the Liberal Arts"* by the American Mathmatical Association.
The world needs more Humanists to offset the tyranny of religious fundamentalists & other inhuman influences on world affairs, such as rampant late Capitalism, and its dogma, Economic Fundamentalism
