Some tips: If the cafeteria is open. Buy a cup of coffee. Then you have free access to the roof ;)
Also just walk some of the steps down from Fjellstua and you have maybe an even better view of the city. There is a great outlook point called Rampestreken.

Very pretty - it looked like many of the northern European stops - clean and well ordered. I know some towns have problems but this looked very safe. Here's to Amsterdam!

They must have only just started to charge as I didn’t pay last year. You walk up the 418 steps from town and then have a wander and go into the cafe. I think you were told wrong information.

Charging you for that view, what a con. I went 10 years ago and at that time it was free. I don’t want to sound like “that guy” and trying to be clever, just say to share information. The Norwegians pronounce their A’s as O’s. So pronounced Olesund and another example, Flam is pronounced Flom
