i own a 2014 fj trd
ill be the first to admit, i have abused the vehicle...in fact i once drove it 18 months without an oil change...
ive taken it on trails, through mud, driven it through 9 different states...
and through all of that its never even had a HICCUP....nothing, not one problem....
toyota builds vehicles to last, and the fj may be the toughest they ever built

I have three 2014 FJ Cruisers, two of which are Trail Teams Ultimate Editions (automatic with 580 miles on it; manual with 150 miles on it). The non-TTUE is an automatic with 34, 405 miles on the odometer.

What’s nuts is that this is a Toyota, renowned for boring designs, even the head of the company admitted their cars are boring. But this still seems almost modern and not from 2010. It’s also really reliable and a funky shape with cool colors. No wonder these things haven’t lost any value really

I thought I was a good design till I when saw this FJ. The thing is amazing. Respect to Jin Won Kim (designer) Akio Nishimura (chief engineer). If I ever put up such a masterpiece on planet earth, Then even if I die, I would not complain. I give it 11 out of ten on everything and I dislike whoever dislikes it.

Have a 2007 with 160K miles. Great car. You kind of rip on it a little bit and I didn't hear you talk about how it is good in high water. Living in FL I am the one driving everyone around during rainy season or after a hurricane. It's a solid car, safe and grounded.

My dad had one, bought it the first Monday it got to the dealer. Had it for 9 years. Put jba headers on it full superchips secondary ecu and a cold air intake. She was a beast

I literally see this car almost every day and never noticed the 3 wind shield wipers😂

I had one for 10 years and only sold it last year. It had 170, 000 miles on it when I sold it and I consider it the best vehicle I ever owned. Its center of gravity was very centered and it would drive through anything including the Oregon Dunes. It didn't drive like a Wrangler as it handled more like a car. I had absolutely no problems with it and sold it for $12, 000 which stunned me at the time. Only cons were the bad gas mileage for the 6 cylinder engine and a back seat that I only used for my dog due to it's small size.
