Underleveled Pokemon are AWESOME!

Pokemon that are at a lower level than necessary for them to evolve in the players hands are called underleveled pokemon. in this short, we will highlight some of the most notable ones in the series. Surprisingly, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet doesn't seem to have any in the game without trading, not even among the in game NPC's or DLC.

Lastly, almost any pokemon from Go can be transferred to Let's Go or Home at level 1. The exceptions are pokemon obtained in raids, eggs, go battle league, Scatterbug, and any type of research

I spent an entire week grinding for the low level salamence when sun and moon first came out. I ended up killing around 480 bagon bent it finally spawned. Afterwards, i ended up being about 10 levels over the curve and breezed through the rest of the game

One of my fave methods is using the old rod in Sootopolis in Emerald to fish out low level Gyarados. I have a level 7 one.

Especially with SoS chains being such a clear source of this, and that the Rockets are painted as antagonists for inducing early evolutions, I suspect that early evolution is a result of stress.

Lance has underleveled Pokemon because he is modeled after a Dragon Tamer, hence, he actively seeks out powerful, troubled creatures and seeks to give them a second chance.

the purugly line is also stated to have a high sense of self-image, so I could see one evolving early from anxiety.

Player pokemon never evolve early either because they can never become that unhappy or the PC Storage System reconditions them to be healthier and more stable.

Equal level trades? That's probably just a hiccup or a quirk of the early PC Storage System.

At least he clarified it was non glitched obtainables. All gen 1 mons can be below level 7 with the trainer fly glitch
