Is it possible to refill camping gas without blowing your head off? Isn’t it annoying to have a lot of half-used canisters and, isn’t it annoying that the big bottles are cheaper than the small cartridges?
In this video I look a bit closer at the cheap Campingmoon gas canister multi-converter. How to use the adapter and how to calculate how much you can refill. After this video you will be able to refill your smaller gas tubes from the bigger ones and also add the gas from two half full canisters in to one full gas cyliner. Smart and save you money!

That gizzmo in America is called GWorks Lindel valve, something I've been using from the get-go. Thanks to the valve, I always start out with a full 110gr of gas inside a small canister.
BANG - I like your sense of humor.

Great idea, I must consider this. The idea to use the big one to fill smaller ones would be perfect

Hej Matti! We just binge-watched your and Stina's channel and as we saw this video, we thought we should try it ourselves.
When we received our adapter, we followed your step-by-step instruction and succeeded! Great tip!

I have seen instructions elsewhere that say the 80% rule is for a completely empty canister, In other words the manufacturers only fill to 80% when new to allow for expansion should the canister be exposed to heat in transport or storeage. It is wise not to push the limit. Your rule of 80% of original fill should certainly be safe. Best wishes.

Hej, Matti! Thank you for the great videos! This one insipres me to buy refill adapter, because it's a common traveller's problem: half-empty gas canisters, which refuses to burn in low temperatures outside. An once again, thanks for the safety instructions for refilling process. It was new information for me.
But i have one interesting question: why not you using pressure lowering button on refill adapter? This button allows you not to warm up outgoing canister, and not to cool down incoming canister. I pressing this button 3 or 4 times during refill process of 230g canister and all canisters (full and empry) are the same temperatures.

P.S. You need to insert disclamer at the beginning: "Please, finish drinking tea or coffe before viewing this video clip" 😀

Hi Matti, I have a 100g PRIMUS, I bought the small transfer system before watching this video, when I went to test it to fill it I read the small letters printed on the canister where it says: CANNOT BE RECHARGED... I'm perplexed... also when screwing the transfer on the IN side of the PRIMUS canister there seems to be some resistance... as if it wouldn't let it in... on other canisters of another brand it seems that this doesn't happen... on your 100g PRIMUS is there this resistance when screwing it in? Do your PRIMUS canisters have a sign not to recharge? Thanks for the video.

I've been filling my bottles for 20+ years. I filled 47kg bottles of winter auto gas. It 70 30 mix. I decanted into 907 904 901 gaz bottles. A 100 gram of gas cost 1.5 pence uk. About 65 100g cans for a £1.

Great! Do the same. But not warming. Only cooling the recieving canister. And also have a careful look at the recieving one for even small damages!

I've never tried it this way but I do fill my canisters from the Aerosol type can with a little gizmo again from Amazon. But I think I'll get one of these as I have a number of the larger oversized canisters that tbh never get used as they are far to big. And I also use the Jetboil Jatgauge

It’s admirable to be thirify, I do this type of transfer with propane. The two safety measures I use are to wear gloves so if there is a mishap I don’t freeze my fingers and I work in the middle of my yard away from buildings so should a problem occur nothing is damaged.
