Very cool. I have yet to use my 8" rotary table. I can see there are lots of places to make mistakes. Can't wait to see your final vac setup. Great job.

I often use my er-40 instead of my r-8 chucks too. I also like using DA collets. But I made a mistake in buying an annular cutter arbor with a 1” shaft for the Er instead of one with an r-8. The stick out is a good 2” further and it adds to the chatter. I then bought one with the r-8, and the chatter went away.

As far as mistakes go, I’ll sometimes tell myself to remember to do something a certain way, and then forget and do it the wrong way, and have to do it again. There’s an expression. I think it’s something like; “To error is to be human.”
