Diecast Weekly 138 - Massive Haul

Really unexpected massive diecast haulage this week. Got some mail as well as went over to a friend's and picked up a ton of stuff. Picked up a lot of Johnny Lightning, some Ertl Vintage American Muscle, Hot Wheels and some really odd ball brands. Also got some Tomica in the mail.

Very cool video. Yes I have quite a few of the Team Baurtwell. Three different colors of the 69 Dodge Charger with opening hood. The Jaguar XK8 and a Hummer. They all came with the same goofy wheels. Some better than others. They came out in 2004 or 6. The packing was made so you could put the plastic case back in its packaging. They also came in 1:18 scale as well. Keep up with all the great videos. Love watching them.

i like the tomica countach, and ferrari nice, the old black ertl 68 chevelle is nice, they made the same color scheme on both a street version and a drag version in 1/18, i like those 64 T-Bolts, i have the last two JL put out maroon and blue those are really nice for JL's. a ton of cool stuff in that haul.

Those American muscle are pretty cool. I have a 58 Plymouth. Its pretty nice.

tomica cars are more prone to paint rashes/bubbling compared to other brands if not stored in a climate-controlled environment. I can attest to that since i live in a tropical country and I don't have air-conditioning and whatnot at my house. my greenlight and auto world cars are holding up pretty nicely while my newly bought tomica limited vintages start to get paint rashes after half a year or so.

Richard & Lee petty drove oldsmobiles in the late 50's the #42 looks like a 58 olds. i like the old lindberg vega an torino those do look like mini kit cars. i would recomend paintin the cars with the paint rash with tamiya gloss clear acrylic bottle paint, use a quarter inch or smaller brush, use tamiya thinner or alchol i put a mix of 3 to 1 a drop of clear in the cap and three drops of thinner this will thin the paint down to a thickness like milk or water, it will flow over the body without leaving brush marks, thats if you dont want to take the car apart and spray paint.

I Might be interested in a ERTL American Muscle 1958 Plymouth Belvedere, Loose or Carded. Leaning Towards Carded. For My "Christine Car" Collection. I Don't think I have Any Ertl American Muscle ones yet.

It looks like the paint issue is due tu humidity at the time of painting. If you're brave you can try rubbing compound and the polish but you will have to clear coat it for a constant glossy look since the sheen will not last if not clear coated. Cover the windshield with tape if you are going to do it

The rarest variation I know of the Majorette Neoplan bus is the “Air Canada” variation, only seen it in a book dedicated to old majorettes and in an expensive eBay lot once
