2:48 -- With Gigapixel AI v6.2.0, this problem is fixed. Faces are upscaled and treated separately with the option "Face Recovery" now. It's almost perfect.

Thanks for this video! Question- have you found a way to batch GFPGAN with upscaling? Do you use GFPGAN first then upscale? Its not in automatic1111

I'm using ChaiNNer for upscaling on Mac OS (11.6) but it crashes all the time. It's a free tool and easy to use and lots of possibilities. I managed to upscale 1 image to 8000 x 8000 and afterwards changed it in Photoshop from 72 to 300 DPI, which worked.
On Windows it seems to work fine, I hear. ChaiNNer also (still) has problems with M1 chip from Apple.

Thanks for the video. If I want to create different copies of the same images on different ratios. I assume I need to first scale the image using Gigapixel, for example, and I will then need to adjust it to the different scales, which is something that needs to be done on Photoshop or a similar tool ? Could this be done in Canva without losing the resolutions? Thanks in advance!

What program/tool do you use to compare the image? The one with the slider, the new nvidia icat versions ruined the auto adjustment so i was searching for an alternative

I run renders through ARC by Tencent first. Maybe two passes just to nab the eye and mouth fixes. But gently composite them in to retain the texture and vibe of the original render. THEN take it into sharpen or Gigapixel and do more gentle compositing to avoid sharpness artifacts in other parts of the image.

Tip, auto settings could be why your beard looked artificial, Noise reduction isn’t actually image noise, its cleaning up the AI’s interpolation, but can make images look artificial odd. Also similar with blur reduction, which can Halo or cartoonishly sharpen the interpolation

Auto settings, Set these values too High, with STD model you’re better leaving them at zero for a more natural looking result and do any those additional processes with other software, like Sharpen AI, Photoshops noise tools etc

In the first image you didn't recommend gigapix for the face fix but in the third image(yours) you used gigapix only. So which should be used for face upscaling actually? Why you didn't use the Real ESRGAN in the 3rd image to make a comparison? Getting me a bit confused 🤔
