i believe it was from 1960 to 1972 the chevy c10 had a 3 link rear suspension (1) track bar going from frame to axle housing (keeps the axle centered) (2) I beam trailing arms bout 6 feet long that the axle was bolted solid to..these I beams attached at the center of the truck via a cross member..chevy built a hot rodders dream suspension without even realizing it..when you launch two things happen..the axle twists lifting/pushing at the center which brings the front end up and transfers weight to the back tires..the more you hook up the more you lift..the more you lift the more you hook up :)
