Dr. Francis Beckwith's return to the Catholic Church was intellectual in a lot of ways, and so he did a fair amount of work exploring the arguments and apologetics issues hat separated Catholics and Protestants. But a small personal miracle involving St. Anthony of Padua and Dr. Beckwith's late father reminded him that the spiritual life isn't just about cracking an intellectual code, but being a part of the mystical body of Christ.

Serious question: What is the point of choosing to love God for his own sake, if he already has infinite beatitude regardless of anything we do or fail to do? Seems redundant.
