Manchester City have done a lot of business this summer, but they were able to complete a pretty exciting signing early on in the window. Savinho – or Sávio, if you like – agreed to move to Manchester from Troyes for 30.8 million pounds, and honestly, it seems like a match made in heaven.

Why do we say that? Come with us as we tell you why Savinho is perfect for Manchester City.

First of all, it seems like Pep Guardiola is returning to his era of flying direct wingers as we saw in his earlier years at Man City with Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sané on either flank. Obviously, Pep has since moved away from that style, preferring indirect and/or makeshift wingers like Foden, Bernardo Silva, Gabriel Jesus, Júlian Álvarez, and Jack Grealish in recent years.

As a Man City fan who watched literally every minute of every game last season, the amount of time that Kyle Walker spent as essentially our RW was absurd. Changing that to Savinho completely changes the balance of our attack and the threat when in forward positions. Like the amount of times I saw Kyle in a position where if it was Mahrez it would have been a goal or assist, must have been at least 50+ times. Can’t wait to see Savinho and the rest of the squad in action this year and hopefully we can make it 5 in a row. COME ON CITY!!!😤
