The thinnest pick is a dunlop nylon, and the .88 is a tortex but the rest are all Gator Grips.

Audio captured with a stereo pair of Neumann km184 microphones in a Universal Audio 4-710. The guitar is a Taylor GA3.

i just ordered some new picks and afterward saw this. it gave me a good guide to the range of thickness i should use. over 55 yrs playing and i am still looking to improve.🙃

Great consistency brother!... Im gonna steal your progression =D - awesome video defining the tone, I'm assuming you're recording through mic... If it was digital out the difference in tone would be a lot more noticeable, through more types of speakers/headphones. Also, you may not realize it... but because of your experience your body naturally adjusts the strength behind the pick to get the tone you want to achieve. Picks virtually have little to no difference in tone playing same thing on the same shape have alot more influence on the tonality. - playing 2 years. HI Sean, I can't find the video that you made where you said you found a great pick. You mentioned it was slightly smaller and I think you used the expression "jazz pick". I want to buy a set of those. I have a lot of the standard sized picks and I know I am not good enough to use the really tiny picks but the one you selected was intermediate size Not tiny but not full size. I love your equipment reviews. Also, can you recommend a guitar cable with a right angle bend. I think the ninety degree bend would be a nice feature when schlumping on the couch and goofing with a guitar. I don't practice this way but I when I am taking a break I do and the sound breaks up when the cable bends and it eventually breaks.

.58-.88 seemed to be the sweet spot
what gauge strings were you using? that will be part of the equation
I am a fan of the .88 size for 12 gauge strings
