🤦‍♂️How to remove fords 'mykey ' (speed ,radio ,seatbelt) limiter feature on ford, truck, car,suv

Using my work truck 2019 f150 I accidentally set the" teen driver " mykey program

ford "Mykey" will
1. Limit speed to only 80 mph
2. Radio only goes to about half volume
3. Occupied Seats must have seatbelts clicked in/on , in order to drive off and hear the Radio..

The "administrator 🔑 key" can be any of the two keys provided with your Ford
and wasn’t use to set to the mykey program..

Just bought a used 2017 XLT. It came with 1 key - yep, setup as "my key" limited access. Just came back from the local locksmith, got two brand new Ford "Admin" keys. Got home, watched this video and cleared the original key BS. Three fully functional keys now.

I stumbled onto MyKey while jumping another outfit, playing with the settings on my new truck and thought I was going to have to trade it in. Our dog actually ate my master key— and i was trying to figure this out - because my other TWO keys were set with limits for our kids!!
I was able to find the master key “inner parts” and put the batteries in it —
And followed your instructions —

Thanks for your find ! I changed to another key on my F150 & was going crazy about how my speedometer
was governed & music restrictions w/o a seatbelt being fastened...Will go back to my other key & get rid of
this nonsense by clearing these settings out .!!

Easy to do with an admin key. Need to see how to do it when your admin key was accidentally turned into a mykey and no longer functions as an admin key.

Solid work! Fixed my issue in minutes. The primary key was so warn & old looking, so I wanted to start using my secondary key. I didnt know what the problem was, but suddenly the music volume was limited. This video helped me quickly solve the issue the next day. Thanks!

Thank you for this information. I have a Ford F250 and recently this came on somehow. I pressed the wrong button at the wrong time and WA-LA! No volume on the radio and the speedometer was stuck at 80mph. Well I followed your advice and gave it a whirl. Now the radio is back to full volume...but the speedometer is still set at 80. Doesn't really make that much of a difference cos I never drive that fast anyways. Thank You!

You can also start the vehicle, roll down the driver window, turn off the vehicle and hold the key out the window fast and restart it..

Quick bit of info to add to your great video. When you first buy the vehicle all keys are admin keys, once my key is enabled the key that was in the ignition when enabled is now admin key. After clearing/reseting mykey both keys are again “admin keys”. Both keys are also “programmed keys” that have a chip in them specific for your vehicle.

My key just creates a set of “safety features” owners can enable in the event they are the overbearing, control freak kind of person and although they allow others to drive their vehicle, they need that bit of control to function as a reminder to whomever is driving that the owner of this vehicle struggles with control and feeling adequate in life, under no circumstance should anyone get into a physical relationship with this owner.
