It's often we exit the Interstate to explore a locally favorite mom and pop restaurant. But, as far I as remember, never to visit a donut shop. However, when Tennessee Crossroads heard about one in Cookeville, TN that's been rated among the best in the nation, we just had to find out more. Ralph's makes the best donuts in the world. Here in Cookeville, we've had a Krispy Kreme -- it went out of business. We have a Dunkin Donuts by the interstate -- but it's empty except for the people who are driving through and don't know any better. But locals know that the best donuts are at Ralph's.

Listed as one of the top 10 things to never eat....well!!! Years later a probably a few hundred doughnuts later, I can’t imagine a world without them...thank you all! For keeping something simple delicious. And u r right...automation taste different! Keep doing it the old fashioned way!

I worked for Dunkin back in the late 70s. We did all handcut product back then. The ONLY way to make them.

Went to school in Cookeville, and I really like their doughnuts, but Donut Country in Murfreesboro is significantly better! Different styles, so I may just like yeast doughnuts better, but Donut Country is my favorite!
