【Pls look at the top comment first】Superb voice from Sweden! Cleopatra sounds brilliant fronted by Swedish singer/musician Kristian Hermanson. In mid of 1990s, this band released two albums and they can easily remind you of classic periods of 1980s after hearing one of them. Most listerens are a little bit unacquainted with the name Cleopatra, some people only have knowledge of another British female R&B group also called Cleopatra consisting of three sisters. I guess the greatest image of Cleopatra must be the queen worship of Egypt. However, these swedish rockers here don't have commercial publicity during those periods, so their works are comparely rare to find. Personally, this is Nordic treasure for everyone to cherish.

The track "On and On" is selected from their debut called "Chapter One" in 1995. To be frank, their second album in 1996 is not as good as the debut. Their first album is so great that you may feel it's deeply influened by the various inspiration and lots of bright elements are easy to catch your soul in "Chapter One" both covering strong keyboards and brilliant riffs. Besides, another track called "I'm In Love" sounds quite similar to "On and On", high quality of Scandinavian works in nostalgic aor. By the way, does the voice of Kristian Hermanson remind you of David Coverdale(Whitesnake) or is the style somewhat like Newman's debut works? Hope for your thinking is what I am thinking.
