🔥 Fire Controlled on LPG Tanker in Southern Iran 🔥 10-08-2023

🚢 Iranian firefighting teams have successfully managed to control a fire that erupted on an LPG tanker, WHITE PURL, anchored at the Assaluyeh port in Bushehr province. The incident took place on Thursday, August 10.
🛳️ Port authorities swiftly responded to the emergency with a team of four port authority vessels and four private tugs. The Iranian Navy is also closely monitoring the situation to ensure safety.
👨‍🚒 Thanks to their prompt action, all 22 crew members were safely evacuated without any injuries.
⚓ The WHITE PURL arrived at the anchorage on August 9 with plans to load a shipment of LPG. However, the exact cargo volume remains unclear.
📊 Initially, the vessel had listed heavily, hampering firefighting efforts. The situation has since been brought under control, allowing the authorities to stabilize the ship. The decision has been made to let the fire burn itself out, following its origin in the engine room, though images suggest flames were spotted midships on the deck.
