This extreme sport has roots all the way back to 1800's were firemen would compete to get to fires first for bragging rights. Over the years it has turned into the modern-day extreme sport that you see today, with athletic firefighting techniques, custom racing trucks, and a well developed set of rules. These firemen are considered to be the fastest firemen in the world! Every August these firemen compete in the championship tournament were a winner is crowned.

My Dad was a firefighter/paramedic for 30 yrs and these competitions were amazing to watch.. Was great seeing departments from all over the county getting together and having fun. In this one they had to knock a barrel over with the water. My Dad is still my hero for all he did those 30 years. So many lives saved.

I didn't know they were still holding such events.
