That box material looks super resonant. Plexiglass and acrylic tend to ring like glass. You want a box made of stuff that goes “thud” when you hit it, not “ding”

That looks good, especially the speakers in the transparent glass. I have an old pair myself. large speakers and there is a circuit board on the bottom. I have to do some new work on it but I can't get there. bee from the holes and the wood is so good that it is impossible for me to take it apart without damage, so the housing needs to be replaced, maybe fit is an idea, I only have the insulating material and I think if you put coller led the bee that it would be even better if it changes color by sound

Open baffles mean less bass. I prefer boxed speakers along with a separate subwoofer with proper eq. adjustments and appropriate spacing between the walls and the speakers.

Ciao Lorenzo a vederli questi diffusori, sembrano fatti con cura e i cross sembrano di qualita'sicuramente sono dei progetti di un"Open Bafle"modificato che sicuramente avrà, delle mancanze sulle basse frequenze??io infatti avrei usato due woofer da 18 in configurazione"isobarica"ma poi se vuoi si può accordare il suono medioalto usando dei pannelli di isolante da poter spostare dietro, su e giù per accordare il tutto....ma alla fine attraverso il cell.che stava registrando, io ho sentito delle note molto costruito i miei primi diffusori nel lontano 1980 con componenti Philips un 4 vie che aveva i cross che costavano a quel tempo 300 mila lire...bei tempi, Ciao Lorenzo Grazie dell'Info.
