"Ό ῎Αγγελος ἐβόα" or "The Angel Cried" is a chant that seems to take inspiration from Matthew 28:5-6 and it is usually sung throughout the celebration of Pascha.

English translation of the song:
The Angel Cried to the Lady full of grace. Holy Virgin hail and again hail. Your Son has risen from the grave three days later! Shine, Shine The New Jerusalem, For the glory of God has risen upon thee! Sing Now O pure Zion. Thou and pure and holy O Goddess of Heaven, in wake of thy throne!

Ο Άγγελος φώναξε στην κυρία γεμάτη χάρη. Άγιος παρθένος χαλάζι και πάλι χαλάζι. Ο γιος σου αναστήθηκε από τον τάφο 3 μέρες μετά! Λάμψε, Λάμψε Η Νέα Ιερουσαλήμ! Γιατί η δόξα του θεού έχει ανέβει επάνω σου! Τραγούδα τώρα, αγνή Σιών, Και αγνή αγία Θεά του Ουρανού, μετά από τον θρόνο σου!
