HOMEMADE GOLDFISH 🧀

You guys loved my cheez-it video so I decided I needed to do a goldfish recipe too. Although I was always a flavor blasted kinda gal, I got so many requests to recreate the classic cheddar so i had to do it!! I haven’t had a goldfish in years so I put my non gluten free husband to work taste testing. I always remember goldfish as having a milder flavor and more buttery, almost flaky texture compared to cheez its. After many late nights recipe testing and hundreds of goldfish later, i finally nailed it! And my husband agrees! Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients:
3 1/2 oz sharp cheddar cheese
4 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
2 tbsp avocado oil (for brushing on top of the dough prior to baking)

Directions:
Place cheese in a food processor and pulse until smooth
Add butter and pulse again
Add flour and spices and pulse until a dough forms
Remove and form into a ball then freeze x30 minutes
Roll out with a rolling pin between 2 pieces of parchment paper- roll thin so they bake up crispy (about 1/8")
Brush a light coat of avocado oil on top of the dough then cut your goldfish using a goldfish cookie cutter (link below!)
Transfer the parchment paper to a baking sheet and separate the goldfish
Bake at 350F for 12-15 minutes until golden and crispy
Allow to cool then enjoy!

*store in an airtight container for up to 1 week
