Great video, thank you, DW. I like the bits of history melded with contemporary attractions and the elegant flow from place to place. Extremely well done and certainly provocative, I want to buy my airline tickets tonight!

Thanks for your introduction! The Danube is just cultural as our largest river, the Yangtze River

Bulgaria missing, 470 kms of Danube border, full of interesting travel destinations. To name a few - Rousse (The Little Vienna), the UNESCO reservate of Srebarna, the UNESCO site of Ivanovo's Rock-hewn chruches, Vidin with the medieval castle of Baba Vida, etc. Missing those sights and a whole country as a whole means you haven't done your full research.

You didn't mention the 188 km of the Danube through Croatia and the city of Vukovar, which is a symbol of suffering in the Yugoslav wars of the 1990s. Bulgaria wasn’t mentioned too…

Danubian region is beautiful, but then you visit the Mediterranean part of Europe, the southern Europe.

You missed Esztergom, Hungary. Probably the best part of the Danube around those parts.

Why you covered so little of Romania? Danube belongs to Romania as much as Germany or Austria for example. We have nice cities like Orsova, Calafat, Braila, Galati, Tulcea. Tulcea is the gateway to Danube Delta and such a cozy city. I am talking about Romania here, often time overlooked, as you just did:(

The biggest part of Danube is across ROMANIA. Hello from Bucharest (60 km away from the Danube).
