The 2023 Acura TLX Type S PMC Is An Ultra Rare Hand-Built Sport Sedan

The luxury sport sedan segment continues to shrink over the years, but #Acura is making the just introduced #TLXTypeS a little more special for 2023. The #TLXTypeSPMC is hand-built at the same PMC factory in Ohio that also builds the NSX super car. Available in 3 NSX exclusive colors, Acura will build only 300 examples for the US in 2023.

Been waiting +10 years for Acura to widen the stance across their design language. Styling here is crisp and differentiated and unique to the brand. What took so long!

This color is my favorite of the three. Extremely beautiful. I get that a lot of people think the performance doesn’t match the price tag.. and I can agree with that. I really was hoping they’d be closer to 400HP. However, to have a hand built car from the same place they did the NSX is amazing. This car is made for the Acura fans and won’t be something that someone’s cross shopping but someone who seeks it out.

Had they gone with stiffer anti sway bars, a freer flowing exhaust, and even the 3.5 from the NSX with one turbo, it would have been at 400+ easy and been an actual contender.

It may not seem like a lot but 355 is plenty unless you’re coming from a 500 hp Porsche. I have a regular Type S and the sound of it makes it faster than you think as well. Plus, I like the throwback red gauges. Modern with a touch of vintage.

If you're wondering why this is so pricey for 355hp, think of a "$20k laboratory microscope" car equivalent. It's a hand assembled, carefully calibrated vehicle.

It’s crazy Toyota just brought out a new hybrid engine that gets 362HP and 400lbs torque. Toyota is on a roll bringing up new models and new technology while Acura/Honda have just been lacking.

Hate that this car is way too expensive. Not too mention them screwing this car by not putting a touch screen and not adding a cool digital display -, - even some of the Hondas have a better digital display. These car brands purposely screw the cars for some reason lol

Good positive overview on Acura. I hate when Accords get the latest tech but Acura has to wait a generation or two to get them. Acura should get them first, but I understand that Honda is Japanese and universal, while Acura is American.

That interior is phenomenal. I love Acura interiors. They always have a sort of textured look to them, especially the center stacks.
