I'm glad wolverine is reviewing bikes.

Suspension is top notch quality if it can support the weight of an adamantium skeleton.

I had one. Was my second bike. My other is a Harley Davidson. But this 650 was a very good riding motorcycle. I rode mine to the Harley 100 in Milwaukee in 2003.

Nice, I have a 2000, it's all stock. Low 12, 000 miles. Great shape.

I bought a 2003 650 for $3000 w/ 4, 000 miles on it. Beautiful bike no problems. Gets up and goes! Love it!

Im a new 19 year old rider. I purchased this bike 2002 650 vstar classic black (looks like this bike but with saddle bags) with 4k miles 1 owner and only paid 2k body and paint and chrome are mint condition . im glad i have this bike as my first bike!

Bought mine about 5 years ago for 2 grand. Every thing the same except mine had the factory bags and passenger backrest. I think it only had about 6K miles when I bought it (little more than double that now).

Also have spent about $2000 on mods and maintenance since then (tires, pipes, paint, body work and a lot more). There are some known electrical issues on these bikes around those years. But they are relatively easy and inexpensive to correct (pickup coil being the most annoying).

Part of me wishes I had kept it stocked, rode it for a couple of years and sold it for what I paid for it. BUT the bike looks exactly the way I want it and rides really good.

A fantastic bike. That is a beautiful bike ! The 650 is light enough for beginners but big and powerful enough for it to be a keeper. I own a '98 V-Star 650 with 22, 000 miles and there is not one thing about it that isn't as good as new (mechanically). And cosmetically she's an 8. Not bad for a gal rode hard and put away wet. I LOVE my V-star !
P S, I wish I caught this video earlier. I would have loved to come up for the museum opening. However, I will make it an Autumn ride.

No helmet ⛑ too 😶

I like it. The spare key flapping around will soon scratch the front of the tank on these. I own one and could not be happier.

I like your style. I'm 6'2" so I'm glad you mentioned it. I know it's sold long time ago, but I'm looking at a 2003 Classic just like that one with 22k on it.

Wow, it still has the original tires that are now about 16 years old?! I bet that age hardened rubber feels awesome through turns and in the rain.

I just picked one up with 4800 miles on it for $1000 and love it. I need a bigger bike but I am thinking these are going to be worth money someday.

Mr. Kaplan, that is a beauty. I have an '08 Silverado and she's like new, too and very low kms. I like your channel and your stuff. Peace, Sir.
