I hope this motivates a lot of teams to take chances on ex NFL QBs in the future. Geno Smith just proved to the whole world that all it takes is time and elbow grease. They'll be chanting your name one day if you stay committed and patient long enough. I can already think of a few players that could revive their careers hopefully!

I think sitting in the same QB room as Eli Manning (with two super bowl wins), Philip Rivers (no rings, but one hell of a QB resume in the NFL) and Russell Wilson (1 ring and 1 infamous "what not to do on the goal line" moment) helped Geno immensely. He surely gleaned every winning trait he possibly could from them. Hope he's got a couple more great years in him...there is legit a chance they could make it to another super bowl.

Everybody loves the story of Tom Brady. I think geno's story is pretty amazing too. It also shares some similarities. Everyone loves seeing someone succeed when everyone else gives up on them. I hope Geno can win a ring before he retires. Not just because I'm a hawks fan but i think it would be one hell of a way to end a story and inspire future players not to quit or give up!

Bro played for the jets. Got hurt and then had to sit behind HOFrs. Geno has shown if he has weapons and more than 2 seconds to throw, he can hit it. Glad he’s my quarterback! GO HAWKS

Manning did not start all 16 games, he was benched for Geno. It was controversial because it broke Mannings streak. Geno also had his jaw broken by a teammate while playing for the JEts.

I was honestly one of the people who said we needed to get rid of Pete and keep Russ and boyyyy was I wrong. I’m so so happy Geno’s been able to shine and get paid. I’m super excited for the next few season

Geno gets the ball out on time, throws over the middle, takes what the defense gives him, and can throw to the flats- all things Russell Wilson struggled with or didn’t do. The offense flowed smoothly like it hadn’t done in years.

I remember watching Geno play in 2015, and I always thought he was really impressive to watch play. His stint with the Jets taught me that a player can be exceptionally talented but failed by an organization, and then their career fades as a result. Happy for him and his resurgence and wish blessings on his career.

When last season started and i knew he was gonna be the starter i had a feeling he was gonna be good, the season before he played in wilsons relief for a couple pf games and looked really solid..

Geno Smith has always had the talent, he just needed to believe in himself unconditionally and have a team and coaching staff believe in him also . Until your teammates trust you, you can’t second guess yourself . Players smell a defeatist attitude like a shark smells blood . Keep it Up Geno .

Based on Geno’s success in the Seahawks system and Wilson’s terrible play upon leaving, I think Russ might not have ever been as good as we thought. Just a product of a great system.

If Seattle does take a quarterback, it'll be Richardson. Geno should be good for at least another five years, this will give Richardson time to develop. Richardson's size and athleticism make him a very tempting prospect.

Sad to see him leave us in SEA, hope he does well in Vegas!

Should've mentioned how Geno's preseason injury was because he got punched in the face by a teammate. Also, Geno started week 16 of the season as a Giant, ending Eli's consecutive games streak. They then played Eli week 17 in the most confusing, dumb move of all time

Geno has the right mentality. And they brought back the same offensive personnel. I think next year hes gonna play even better. If the defense can step it up the Seahawks are gonna be scary.

Truly never understood how he didn’t succeed earlier. I was in awe of him coming into the league and truly worried when NYJ had him as a pats fan. I assumed it would be a Jets run like Sanchez but with a talented multi skilled QB

Really liked this video and I don’t say that much. Perfect timeline from WV to Seattle, kept it just under 10 min, and your voice isn’t annoying.

👍
