The media keeps calling things like this a “TikTok challenge”. Just because a small number of people do something, that doesn’t give grounds to call it a challenge. As someone within the target audience of TikTok and a regular user, I can assure you that this is not a challenge.

Umm… it started because they wanted to do it… not because they saw it on an app. People see all kinds of things on TV and don't go commit crimes.
