I don't think Lisa purposely tried to take away Bart attention (maybe she did? Idk I'm an idiot) but she really could've announced that she's the student of the month like a day later would've been better

Honestly Lisa's character did get the short stick, they could have made her the smart yet respectful child that says and does cool intelligent things, and then peddled the obnoxious or ostentatious stuff off on Martin and milhouse, but they ended up slowly crafting her into a toxic stuck up arrogant personality, from her vegetarianism that only stuck because a guest star demanded it remain to her constant need to be the best in every field she cares about, she's ruined numerous things for her family, she ruined barts drumming career, his esports career, she condemned her family to no improvements on their way of life when Mr burns offered her a cheque for her part in a recycling plant and she refused, and various other incidents... She was an ok character at one point but tbh I'm kinda glad the show focused mainly on Bart and Homer
