Pulse Oximetry Errors in Black Patients

There have been quite a few published studies demonstrating that pulse oximeter devices have a higher error rate in black people. This means that black people can actually be having lower oxygen levels and the pulse oximeter won’t detect it. Today, I discuss this in relation to Covid-19. As always, consult your medical doctor for your health care decisions. My views are my own. 6/15/2022
