Man, I didn’t realize the scope of extensions on Stable Diffusion. Goes to show how much more productive open source models really are.

Seeing all these walled garden models was getting me discouraged about the future of A.I. I mean, there was this sense that only large corporation would be using this technology to further leverage their position and devalue the labor force. Stable diffusion is a tick in the other direction. Maybe, we can evolve with this technology.

First thing I did after a few prompts was to "illustrate" the horror stories I had been writing.
Resulting in an evolutionary universe of...
- old pictures of the monster sighting
- charcoal drawings of the monster
- unmatched abstract interpretations (an oil refinery made from antlers is really awesome, with a hellish jaw siphoning the horizon)
It's so cool to be able to expand on artwork within just a few minutes.

Yannic, you pointed out the most lmportant question of this century - the freedom to create, to do thing which perhaps, no immediately usefulness for society or companies, but it build the stepping stone for the future development. The small group of people have the resources to create those tools, are not willing to share with public, because of monetary benefits, control and mistrust.

We need more smarter developer to release those tools to give the public the freedom and space to create - if we want to speed up toward level-1 society, we have to trust the public do right thing and give them the tools to create, to have a truly open democratic society.

Every time a corporation tries to do some closed AI model, somebody else will do an open source version that will eventually surpass the closed one. For years in the open source community we’ve had people creating things around everything that comes out that it’s just a matter of time before this kind of explosion happens with the next big thing and it’s just wonderful!
