I wish I had an ocean close enough to have the need for one of these boards. Great idea though, esp for someone starting out.

Does anyone know if doing this would ACTUALLY help with learning to surf or skateboard. Are the skills transferrable?

too much review on the bands and not enough on board - i know how to use the bands, i'm looking for more info on different exercises and techniques to practice on board for say, snowboarding, surfing, skateboarding etc. want to make informed choice before i buy - there are too many boards out there!
