HCI - The Hype Cycle - 2021 tech trend

Base on the #HypeCycle model by Gartner, I believe HCI is entering the stage of “Climbing the Slope”. After the “Peak Expectation” stage, users become more practical, thinking about how the technology improve their daily operation work efficiency, reducing cost, maximize the invested ICT infrastructure resource.
With the advance of Methodologies and Best Practice for development of HCI, in teams of :
1. NVMe SSD within HCI infra to improve high IOP for some APP requirement. A hyperconverged solution using NVMe — an open interface specification for accessing non-volatile storage media attached via a PCI Express bus — over fabrics.
2. CDP (Continue Data Protection), SRM (Site Recovery Manager); DC/DRC protection features
I expect there will be high growth of HCI investment from different industry in 2021 and onwards. The adoption of HCI to run different application become more popular. From Forrester report, most of the common workloads run on hyperconverged system are Database services, File & Print services, Collaboration service, VDI (virtual Desktop), Commercial software package like SAP, Oracle, Analytics application, LAMP Stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Perl/Python) and other Web services
