FNOOB DiGiTAL release 30 comes in hard and heavy on the sci-fi tip with chief techno basement dweller Michael D. Knox's latest offering, "The Cube".
You can hear him on Mondays on the Atmospheric Disturbance show on Fnoob Techno Radio, and if you have, you know that he has little patience for that which does not move bodies.

Running at 140 BPM, "The Cube" begins with an overdriven 4/4 kick, hi-hats on the sixteenths, and a flood of bass rumble that give way to vocal sample and an infectious melodic hook.
Ravey and energetic, this is a track for peak hour sets for crowds who can appreciate a heavy techno workout.
Alternate uses include cardio exercises, martial arts demonstrations, and fleeing police patrols.

This release comes with an astounding set of seven remixes.
Steve Shaden takes down the BPM slightly but brings up the kick and tightens up the hats in a darker, slightly more minimal affair.
Chicago ghettotech legend Lester Fitzpatrick contributes a flangey, dirty, echo-laden dub mix with an otherworldly breakdown.
Perth, Australia's MOT3K brings the tempo down further and lets the track breathe with reverb, blips, and ride cymbal.
Mark Neenan gives us a surprisingly clean sounding mix with lots of change-ups and interweaving percussive sequences.
Fnoob Techno Radio founder Daz Furey brings us a mix heavy on modulated synths.
ML presents a pounding, broken beat affair, and
Francesco Giannese finishes off the release with a dark, lurking, noisy, atonal take on the original with a pulsing arpeggiated synth.

Released March 27, 2020
