I think they sing this in heaven. And we here on earth can hear it. Thank you, brothers.

Amazing that the "trumpet" is not a trumpet at all, but the vocalizations of one of the brothers.

A singing group of such immense talent and musical sophistication, it amazes me more, the more I hear of their body of recordings.

How many children were added to the population of the US with this song?  An all time classic!

Lyrics

Sometimes I wonder, how I spend
The lonely nights
Dreaming of a song
The melody
Haunts my reverie
And I am once again with you
When our love was new
And each kiss an inspiration
But that was long ago
And now my consolation is in the stardust of a song

Besides the garden wall, when stars are bright
You are in my arms
The nightingale
Tells his fairytale
Of paradise, where roses grew
Though I dream in vain
In my heart it will remain
My stardust melody
The memory of love's refrain

Best rendition of Stardust.  Ever.
Sooo mellow.  Hoagy Carmichael would be proud.

This was back when singing a song actually MEANT something!...not just making a racket! Today's stuff in no way compares to the 30's and 40's stuff! Even the "B" side records beat Rap! To coin a phrase, that used to be a common one, back in the day...HONSTLY!
