This year marks the 10th anniversary of Joseph Hill Culture of the Jamaican harmony trio Culture's transition from this earthly plane. In his honor, his only son Kenyatta Hill, teams up with Akae Beka (Vaughn Benjamin of Midnite and Puma Ptah ( formerly Ras Puma - Thievery Corporation's live band), to remake the classic underground hit tune Police Man.

"We the people, law abiding citizens, need the police as the police need the respect of the community. " Explains Kenyatta Hill. Until those in authority reprimand their peers who abuse the powers assigned to them, there can not be true equal rights and justice. Irons sharpens iron, we have to find a better way to work together. One World. One People. One Love.

Oh what a beautifully written song and so true! Right now the police brutality is so rife, they have no respect and have completely lost it! Marikana Massacre, students fighting for free education, innocent herbs-man making a living being harassed daily, this is just a few of the incidents that police have blown out of proportion. They are not peace keepers and seems they do not value Imanity (humanity) at all. I bow my Kings! I just hope RSA citizens can stand up against this kind of behaviour as we have all seen how badly it turned out for the american brothers and sisters who tried to speak out about police brutality. 1LOVE
