This is way way darker than any black metal I’ve ever heard! Wow!! I love this!!

let's say: a musician performing Volumina on such king of instrument would inevitably feel like God while creating the universe from infinite chaos.

Bravo to both performer and assistant. I am used to seeing this piece played with an assistant on either side, and the to-and-fro required here with just the one was deftly managed. The performer opted for a gentler opening than many, with less of the customary 'roar of the beast', but it still worked. Very good camera work. The largely empty hall and dimmed lighting mirrored the title of the piece, even if it was a pity to deny the excutants a well-deserved audience's applause.

Great performance The mask seems to add to the atmosphere:)

That is a lovely monster of an organ, with a dedicated performer and assistant, recreating the genius concept of Volumina - all those "volumes" in the air - that only György Ligeti could come up with. Thanks for these moments of joy.

Un véritable tour de force pour l'organiste, mais aussi pour l'instrument ! Bravo !!

Why do I get the feeling this was recorded with Covid in mind? 😁

Wasn't he supposed to use both forearms?

Wrong beginning. Both forearms should lay over ALL manual keys! Watch the complete manual black cluster in the score!
