Good to see the Tesla being tested every now and then. I think this is an important point of reference for the other cars you test.

That Marcusbil sign on the car keeps confusing my brain. Every time I see it my brain reads it as Marcusail.

i also did a range test with similar conditions on a model 3 LR 2020 with the 79kwh battery and managed 582km down to 2% and started with 98%

Took my wife into work this morning (in our SR+, 2019), covering 56.1 miles of mixed driving in wind and rain...with a bit of brisk overtaking acceleration to get the endorphins going (gone are the days of getting stuck behind stuff...and, perhaps paradoxically, makes driving much less stressful, and safer). The car used 11kWh, resulting in a 'charge-at-home' cost of £0.88. Makes you feel good all the time.

I'll pick her up later, and the traffic will be mad. We'll remain chilled however, cocooned in our magnificent, semi self-driving, comfortable travelling environment, with some good music soothing us, through a really good sound system.

It'll still be raining, but the wipers will be 'voice controlled' through the 'right' scroll wheel, and the lights will be taking care of themselves.

What more can you ask?

My personal choice for an EV. It's damn good.

Can't help ordering a TM3LR. Your enthusiasm for EVs is contagious and there's no vaccine ;-)

Btw the TO on the tyre side means that is “Tesla OEM” that has been slightly amended to comply with Manufacturer request. It’s not the same of regular Michelin Pilot 4 Acoustic: usually it’s the compound of rubber used or the sidewall rigidity that differs

With the M3 SR+ Freemont I am now at 133 Wh/km overall consumption after 8500 km. It's awesome and if you actually drive WLTP style, it does the job as the numbers suggest.
Just got an 112 Wh/km in the last 120 km with 100 km/h, 70 km/h and city speeds mixed, in hilly terrain. :)

Hey @teslabjorn, on those results you posted at 10:57, the 350mi in the 90km/h test lines up almost perfectly with the American EPA rating of 353mi. *Very impressive* IMO. Also, maybe the extra weight in the battery pack accounts for the slightly lower efficiency vs the MIC SR+...

The Model 3 LR available right now from stock in Germany are LR-MIC - and with them, the advertised WLTP is 580km - and they are sold with a discount of €2'000.
Would be interesting seeing LR-Freemont and LR-MIC in a battle ;-)

WLTP is something around 70 km/h avg and ca.22°.
And its calculatet, after a short test drive ca. 15 min.
Something like that

Hyped for the v3 charging session of the 82 kWh m3.
And yeah WLTP has an average Speer of 44 km/h iirc. . Its not exactly the best test ^^

So that's what my brand new Model 3 LR is capable of. Good for me!
Will test it in 2 weeks with a trip across Europe.

Next do the same with 2021 performance model to compare side by side.
Would really appreciate it :)

Yes, the 120km/h test is very impressive. An American Newspaper tested the LR on the highway with 75miles/hr and it was the biggest range of all EVs, even topping some ICE cars

Hi Bjørn. I noticed that you mentioned, in your video when you drove the 2022 model 3 performance in your other recent video, that you said the ride was a lot better and the smoothnes was improved much, compared to the 2021 performance.
Have you tried to compare the ride comfort between a 2021 long range and a 2022 long range? Im curios if the long ranges ride has gotten better, smoother and more comfortable in the 2022 long range as well 😊
