In this episode I am making my way back into the Namib Desert after having my fork seal replaced in Windhoek. Via the Spreetshoogte Pass I ride towards a tiny town in the desert, called Solitaire. On the way, I encounter a rare animal that very rarely shows itself during the daytime!

Here I teach all my filming techniques including getting drone shots while riding!

Gear & Equipment that I use in this season:

Noraly, what can I say, at 56 after over 40 years of riding bikes including being a Police motorcyclist and having been lucky enough to travel and see a fair bit of the world I am enthralled by your videos. I have followed your adventures through India, the Stans and back to Europe, back to your home in the the Netherlands, to South America, then around the Netherlands and Iceland and now to South Africa and Namibia. I really had no idea what South Africa and Namibia were like, the story telling, the humour, the educating, the motorcycling, the camera work, the time and the effort. Thank you for taking us on this latest adventure. It’s about time You Tube had annual awards for its most successful channels. If they did I am sure you would be winning just about every category. You and your channel shine like a 1 million watt bulb, Al, Airdrie, Scotland 👍

Like someone said... You have done more for the South African travel industry than the industry have done to promote this beautiful world in Africa. Thank you!

My husband just came across this channel about 1 1/2 months ago. Season 6 was posted and we watched it. We had spent 20 summers in Alaska so we were very interested in that series. But then I started at the beginning with Season 1. I was totally addicted. She is awesome - what a personality! Beautiful lady (that smile and her gorgeous eyes!). With every country she travels through I just keep saying WOW! This is wonderful travelogue and she also is teaching me a lot of history and information I never would have known without watching this. Noraly you are amazing. Please continue your travels, what would I do in the evenings if you weren't on. 🙂

Just celebrating Independence Day here in the US, and no one exemplifies independence and freedom more than Itchy Boots! A true inspiration to enjoying this beautiful planet, and living life to the fullest!

I have a feeling your video's get better the more I watch of them. The Namib desert is really mesmerizing. That place you stay seems like a slice of paradise on earth. Thanks Noraly for the joy you bring to us, and to someone who is shackled to a post, forced to stay home not being able to travel or move anywhere. You widen my world view and I am very grateful.

Fortune favours the brave, how true is that! To see such a rare creature as the pangolin is breathtaking. You were SO lucky! Never seen one myself. (Live in RSA 🇿🇦)

I never tire of watching the vastness of this desert. The drone footage of that little dot we all know as Itchy Boots is spectacular as always. I’m sure the pangolin was thinking to himself…I am probably the only pangolin to ever sight a Noraly! Have Fun and thanks for taking us with you! 🏍🇺🇸

Well, I don`t know about any of you other viewers of these amazing videos but to me, it is like I travel to another planet when I am watching and simply forget everything that is happening around me. I have watched every single video in the 5 series and this series beats all the others, by far. The landscapes and sheer vastness of this continent makes you realise how little most of us see when we travel on a plane. The best thing on YouTube or TV.

I love how they build these custom mini resorts out in the middle of nowhere! All of them have been very nice so far!

Great to see you back on the dirt roads Noraly. You are not just a solo motorcyclist, adventure rider, you are indeed an accomplished documentarian and cinematographer, I now love the drone footage at the end of each video, simply stunning.

Some people find the desert wilderness forbidding, Noraly finds it fascinating. Glad to have such a guide to tour us around places we will likely never see ourselves. BIG THUMBS UP!
Only a few weeks ago, as reported per CNN: "Today, Thai Van Nguyen, a Vietnamese conservationist, was awarded the Goldman Environmental Prize, for his work to protect the animals ( pangolins ). The annual award is given to six pioneering environmentalists, each working in a different continent.".

Hi Noraly
I don't blame you for wanting to get back to the desert that scenery is amazing and very calming.
Your drone shots are getting better and better they are mesmerising.
Ride Safe!

So cool that you went to stay at Boesman's farm. I have been there so many times with big groups of campers. It was so nice to see Frans, the receptionist. If you could do a walking tour with him around their farm you'd hear that he has a wonderful way of speaking and is incredibly knowledgable of the Namib desert. I miss traveling so much, so glad to see the places you are traveling through again

Welcome to my country (Namibia 🇳🇦 ) and it’s Good Luck to see a Pangolin in my culture. I’ve never seen one in my life! I’m enjoying your channel because it’s educating me on places that I’ve never even visited.
