I use sock yarn for everything BUT socks, never made one, no desire to. 🤷
I'd LOVE to use a Zauberball to make a papillon shawl...I actually think 150 gr might be perfect!! Well, depending on the yardage.
Unfortunately a lot of LYS DO cater to knitters, they ALSO will ignore you if you don't fit their mold, even if you knit.... went to the only one within 2 hours in any direction in my standard uniform, T-shirt and leggings, picked out some nice stuff, lady took it from my hands with the pretense of holding it for not only PUT IT BACK ON THE SHELF, she kept leading me to the "bargain yarns". I walked out showing her the sizable amount of cash I had planned on spending, told her she lost a sale, never went back.

It feels like crocheting with barbed wire.😂😂😂 I know you didn't mean it as a joke, but I giggled. I have issues with the skin on my fingers splitting. Outside of wiping and washing everything in the house, I really don't know why. ❤❤❤❤❤

I really love that Waki saki yarn it’s beautiful. The Zauerball is really lovely

Both yarns make pretty swatches. They are different thicknesses.
I'm not sure i would pay the expensive price of the Zauberball.
Think its a bit thick for socks.
But both are pretty in their own way. The jewel tones are the only things that would influence me.
There are so many beautiful yarns on the market. We are so lucky.
