I just bought the Siig hdmi to usbc port converter adapter for $48 from Walmart and used the provided thunderbolt cable that came with my Mac mini and it works perfect! Connected my Xbox series x to my Apple studio display and just had to change the display settings through Xbox to 120hz and 1080p

Thank you, it's gonna be a while before I can afford a 77" Sony A95L 4K QD-OLED, and I really want to play Final Fantasy XVI on day one, so I'm gonna buy the items you recommended so I can hook up my PS5 to my Pro Display XDR.

happen to get 1 from ebay, and hooked it up using basically an 8K bi-directional displayport to usbc. The xbox console says its 1080P but I am able to stream 4K videos on Youtube (downloaded the youtube app from xbox store for testing) so I think it can output 4K. Its just the console resolution is stuck to 1080p. Again it depends on the games you play and the console you own. If you have Series X, most game will be 4K. If you have Series S, most games will be 1440p. So to summarize, you need the big and expensive one (which its kinda hard to find) to work.

hey… i did this connection set up with my PS5 to my Studio Display… i have a question…is there a thunderbolt 3or4 Y-adapter/splitter to connect to back of studio display? becuz i have to unplug my computer cable to connect the ps5 evertime im gonna game …. would it work with a Caldigit TS4 dock ?
