You would actually see how Erica's swing changed from her first game against PLDT. Mas bumilis at tumaas ang swing nya. It shows how flexible and smart she is as a player. Aside from that, her defense is good.

Malupit talaga floor defense ni MVPons at Kyla Atienza di malaglagan ng bola sa likod. Isama na din ang magandang depensa ni Erica Staunton, sarap sa mata tingnan tulong² silang tatlo sa depensa sa back row. Sayang 1 point na lang triple triple double sana si Pons with 9 points, 19 excellent receptions and 12 excellent digs. Last game ganun din kinapos ng 1 point with 18 points, 16 excellent receptions and 9 excellent digs. Keep it up MVPons continue to play harder because this is your time to shine with Creamline. One of the reasons why CCS hired Staunton, despite being young and unheralded, unlike the other more veteran imports, is probably her overall play. She also excels in reception and floor defense department, and not just in scoring, which CCS players are generally known for.
Also, i think they are playing the long game and looking to the future - since Staunton is just 23 years old, she still has long years to play, barring any unforeseen injuries, so maybe the management is planning to hire her services for the years to come. That way the chemistry with the team is already there.
With the recent unavailability of Alyssa and Tots, there's the opportunity to use MG and Pons, both really reliable scorers. I also like that other players like Ella DJ and Dij Rodriguez were inserted during the game. In a season that's expected to be long, its important to be able to rotate players, and even starters, early on for the coaching staff to get a feel for the right mix of players in the court, to rest the usual starters, to avoid predictability, and to improve the overall team competency. Any player that is subbed in can deliver the points or contribute to other aspects of the game.
The FFF also played well, including their import, but of course in any game, there is always a winner and a loser, and CCS got the better of them this time.
