State lawmaker pushes to ban hospital IV bags and tubes made with harmful toxin

There is a chemical used to make plastic flexible that is so dangerous, it was removed from children’s toys nearly 20 years ago. Yet we discovered it is still widely in use across America in hospital IV bags and tubing. And in the absence of federal legislation, a Pennsylvania state senator is determined to get the toxin out of hospitals in her state and across the country.
