Shoe Tips: How to Break in a New Pair of Shoes

This is definitely not the advice I am familiar with - especially with a quality pair of smart shoes. This damages the shape and you should never do that to the heel. Easiest way is just to wear them at home (not walk around in them) and let the heat of your foot mould the new leather to shape a comfortable fit.

I tried leather conditioner to speed up break-in. But the thing that really worked was just plain old shoe polish. Now I will use shoe polish on new shoes.
