HOW I FEED MY KITTEN | Whiskas Junior

2022 update: I have 5 cats now and I changed their diet to Aozi Organic wet and dry food (occasionally feed them homemade catfood with meat and veggies too). Consulted a vet and read helpful feedback with regards to their diet. Thank you for the helpful comments. :)
Although, Whiskas Jr. is still the most accessible cat food available anywhere in my hometown so this still might be helpful for beginner kitty parents, therefore I'm leaving it here. The feeding procedure also applies regardless any brand catfood though the best advice would still be from your kitty's vet. :)

How I feed my kitten, Disco :)
Brand of wet and dry kitten food used is Whiskas Junior 2-12 months

Feeding Instructions:
1. Place half of wet food pouch on feeding bowl (refrigerate the rest)
2. Add 1/8 cup of dry food and mix well
3. For the next feeding time, defrost half of what was left an hour before serving, then repeat step 2
4. Make sure your fur-baby has dry food throughout the day

Hey just gonna drop a quick comment. Try avoiding low grade cat food like Whiskas cuz they are high in salt content which means that cats can easily get kidney stones over prolonged feeding of such food. As alternatives, there are many premium brands which are affordable such as Kit Cats and Snappy Tom.

And only feed wet food to your cats/kittens 2-3 times on preferably alternate days and not everyday just to make sure they are not heavily dependent on wet food especially if you are always at work.

I like to mix some water with the wet food. Even if your cat drinks enough water this is always a great bonus. My cat loooves whiskas wet food I give it to him sometimes and he goes crazy. I mix some water with it and he eats it all it becomes a soupy mixture.

Disco should be eating 3-4 times a day, not twice a day that is for cats a year and older.

Kitty would be over a year by now so 2 or 3 feedings a day is good. I agree about feeding young kittens 3-4 times a day since they need those calories and their body is growing fast at that time until 6 months. My 2 kittens get raw food as a main dish and I give pouch food if my one picky kitten doesn’t want to eat raw sometimes. I would recommend like others a higher quality food since lower cost foods quality is not great when it comes to quality of ingredients.

Is 1 pounch 1 teaspoon? Or 1 pounch is one piece?? I'm confused. The kitten food package tells me 3-4 pounch in 2-4 meals.

Strict feeding routine, but you are still free feeding her by putting out the dry food. Lol strict feeding schedule means not leaving out food. And if they are still hungry than you aren't feeding her the right amount.

remember - this is processed food - try to cook a self made cat meal. your cat will live longer and healthier
