As many of you may already know, this song holds a special place for me. What my daughter has been through in the past year has astonished us all. At such a young age, she’s already shown incredible strength of heart and spirit. With the video for this song, I wanted to capture what it is to be a kid. Young lives are filled with curiosity, tenderness, risk, joy, and sadness. I know it’s easy to look back in our childhood and remember it as “simple”, but I think it’s far from it.


This video was directed by Hayley Young and shot in a beautiful location close to where I live. I’m so proud to share it now.

My best friend took her own life recently and requested this song to be played at her funeral. I listen to it on repeat bawling my eyes out every day. This song can be interpreted into so much more than what it was intended to but the original story behind it just makes it all the more special.

This song reminds me of my little sister who passed away a few years ago. It was a normal evening when she got really sick and in the morning when Mum woke her up she didn't wake up. She was an incredibly strong person who made anyone laugh. People in our village bullied her because she had downsyndrome but I didn’t let them say anything to her, I was always there for her. She was more than little sister, she was my best friend and the only person who made me smile even though we lived in war. I wish I could visit her grave someday, it’s war in Irak so I can’t visit her now but soon i hope. This song raises great memories of my beloved angel. 😭👼🏼

Long story short I've really struggled with bpd and depression for a while. I was going to call off my wedding and leave but I found this song last night and listened to it, it gave me a positive vibe and better outlook on life and put me in such a good motivated mood. On Jan 4, 2020, I flew home to see my dad one last time before he passed away from leukemia the next day. At the airport on the 4th, I couldn't stop crying while sitting by myself. I desperately needed comfort. While boarding the Delta flight, this song was playing. I had already loved it and knew the lyrics by heart. But I felt that song on another level.
