We stayed here last year. My favourite Greek island so far. Funny that you mentioned Ipsos. This is here our hotel was. We didn't like that beach so much. The beaches on the West side of the island are the best.

These are not the best but the most touristic beaches of corfu, of course they are very beauriful, but there are so much more less packed with people, more serene and really magical, you just have to look for them and not go with the pack, like most tourists do...

Paliokastritsa is overrated. If you're looking to stay somewhere, try somewhere like Canal D'Amour or areas like that. (You'll tend not to find all those horrible shouty, bastard northeners then too.)
