The Top Things I HATE about Real Estate Agents!

I love working in the real estate industry, but there are things about real estate agents (aka, "licenesees") in Alaska that I can't stand/hate! I won't name names, but if you fall into any of these categories, you know where you stand now :)

My sister has told me horror stories about RE agents. She sold in SC for years. She retired and left the business when her supposedly best friend did her wrong over a commission on a property that sold for over a million.

Drove me nuts when they came in for tax transcripts with no release and get mad when I can't give it to them.

My experience with the realtor hasn't been quite honest people in my book they play a lot of games. They're after your money as well as they do not know what your property is really worth. For instant he gives me a price what he thinks it is worth and I said no let's try a bigger number well that bigger number sold the house within 24 hours I had four people fighting over it in offering me $40, 000 more. Now the realtor wants 7% over and above of what he quoted me originally for what the house is worth go figure more money in his pocket. I give him another property to sell a different realtor sold it within 2 weeks it's like free money falling from the sky. After that one he comes over to the house and demanding me to sell the house I live in so he can make another $45, 000 on the sale of my house. No more Realtors for me just go to your title company or ask your attorney. This is my experience with the Realtors I have trusted no more.

There is pretty much everything to hate about real estate agents. Skewing numbers and facts, chronic liars, low morality, anything for an overpaid commission check for little work involved. Maybe 5% are honest max. Good too see the NAR lawsuit loss for realtors. Hopefully the industry gains an ounce of future respect..
