What are you using for guitar lessons? Thanks and love your videos! They've been so helpful. Especially since we just started homeschooling midyear.

As I was listening to you describe your seventh grade writer Clearwater Press came to mind. Have you heard of it? My daughter is using his Cover Story writing this year and it looks incredible. The concept behind this curriculum is exactly that, learning to get good ideas down on paper, and just a bit of grammar at the end, if parents chose to include it. My daughter is very excited to start!

Hey Erin, so my two cents on Singapore math. It’s been our spine since the beginning. I have used it from kindergarten to now my 5th grader is starting 6a in July. To answer your question, it is absolutely an advanced curricula. Singapore is at minimum a year and a half and in many cases I have found 2 years ahead of most of the curricula on the market. A child is ready for pre- algebra after book 6 and in some cases ready for Algebra 1. That’s how advanced in its scope and sequence their curricula is. I have never used TT but I have looked at their scope and sequence because I counsel other homeschool families. I have found that for my family and our goals for our children it is “not up to our standards “. I counsel folks to decide what their individual family goals are and what their child needs and that’s how you will know if it’s a good fit. So is TT, behind, for me YES, but for other folks it could be just what that child needs. I hope Singapore works well for you. Biggest tip, use your teachers manual. It has everything in it that you need. I find that those who struggle don’t use it. It’s the key.

We are doing Singapore Dimensions for my upcoming 5th grader. We used it for 4th grade. It was quite the transition, but we are so glad we swerved to Singapore Math. I really like your picks. Have a great year!

That write shop is something We might use. We do our own "writers workshop" but the curriculum might help give that more structure, reinforce literary devices... Things like that.
Our homeschool has introduced piano, still beginner, i downloaded that app. Good review so far, see ya soon. 👍

Hello! I have always loved the look of Teaching Textbooks~ it looks so good! But I always hear how they are at least a grade level behind. :/

We did the Apologia General Science with my 7th grader this year! It was challenging, but good!! Next year our co-op is offering Apologia Physical Science! ❤ If your son loves science, I'm sure it will be great for him. Science is a struggle for my creative/artsy girl 🤣 Thank you again for your video!🥰
