Remember when Commander Legends came out and those boxes felt great to open? Compare that to MH2. I don't think I've ever seen a bad box of MH2. That CL box opening yesterday felt awful, lol. We're spoiled with fancy products now.

i HIGHLY doubt they will be able to make the next modern horizons or masters set as overpowered in the playability aspect as MH2 is. they will probably keep throwing in the super rare neon/etched cards though would be my guess

I was around during the birth of magic as well, and no they weren’t upset because $100-$300 for a mox or black lotus was in reach of the average consumer. I guess if your saying the current rare/mythic cards are the same, and why are people upset? Then yeah I agree. But being upset about reserved list cards nowadays I get. They are pure, gold pressed, unobtanium. I am all for reprinting the reserved list from the old days.

My personal experience in Europe on Magic Cardmarket, a lot of boxes reappeared in stock of big stores, the prices dropped a bit and also the prices of the singles went down. It's a good thing for the players, especially since Wizards decided to bring back the paper tournaments and the cards from MH2 define the meta in Modern.

I've opened over 2 dozen boxes of MH2 at this point, between draft, set and collector... and I've made my money back on every single box.

This is easily the best product, value-wise, that WotC has released in the past 5 years.

Academy Manufactor jumped up to $10, might be $20 by the end of the year. Was just featured on a popular commander podcast and combos well with a bunch of new Capenna commanders.
If it has 'treasure' printed on it somewhere it will appreciate.

With how much the enemy fetches has seen reprints now, they probably won’t be touched in a serious way for a while. I expect the allied fetches in quad masters though. I would say that mh2 is still a great buy and definitely the safest pickup at its current price point.

MH2 is the best MTG set ever.
Never before and probably never again will you get an expansion with so many playable cards. Even the unplayed cards are interesting and just waiting for the right deck (Gaea's Will, Rishadan dockhand etc).

MH3 will have a snowballs chance in hell to follow up this act and not disappoint.
