I'm using the Digitech GSP1101 for amp modeling and effects. I think the preset I tweaked was the Digitech Solo 4x12 model, though I don't remember exactly and am currently out of town without my gear to be able to check. There's just a touch of delay and verb on the preset. That's only half the story though. My power amp is the Rocktron Velocity 300, and it has a special "resonance" control that simulates tube saturation. It really fattens up the sound. I love both pieces of gear, but the Rocktron Velocity is supremely recommended.

If I can figure out the third part in the lower half of the solo I'll have it. I'm playing on a six string. I wish I had a seven. any suggestions, thanks and good stuff. \m/ \m/

I'm really wanting to start learning sweep picking. How extensive were your sweeping skills before you learned this? And do you think it might be a good first sweeping song to learn? I'm thinking this because it involves some slower sweeping movement/economy picking.
