It didn’t work for me. But what did work was I: Left the camera on, then removed the battery, replace the battery, then just as the camera comes on I turned it off then quickly on again before it turns off. It sounds weird I know, but it actually fixed the issue for me. Good luck!

Deep inside a chatroom, I spotted a post for a 'fix' for this error. The fix is to simply turn off the the first curtain shutter within the camera's settings. Worked for me, so might be worth a try. I know that some photographers will not be happy to turn off the first curtain, but so long as you shoot with reasonable shutter speeds you'll be fine.

Bro, thank you. Tried this twice. It didn’t work the first time, but it did the second. Hope it keeps working. Gonna test some more and report back. If I don’t write anything else, the issue has been fixed for good.

UPDATE - I just bought a new Sony A6000, one of last 2 at my local Sony Centre as it is now an obsolete model. I didn’t want to change cameras as I already have several E mount lenses and the newer models up from the 6000 are way more expensive and quite frankly out of my price range as an occasional photographer. Anyway in the box for the new camera was an AC adaptor (model no ACUUE-12) that definitely didn’t come with my older A6000 which I got cheaper as it was a grey import. While I normally charge the batteries with an external battery charger I know far a fact that I have plugged the camera in using a generic USB to charge the battery and this was most likely before I got the error message on the screen. Curious I have just attached the new power lead and AC adaptor to my old camera and HEY PRESTO it is now working again! As a result I now have 2 functioning A6000 cameras, I am just going to keep both as this will save me faffing about changing lenses while out and about, it is a pretty compact camera anyway and both will easily fit in my sling bag.

bro, I got REAL REAAAL pissed that my camera stopped working. I used to be a Sony Imaging technician, I couldn't figure it out. I desperation googled solutions and this shit ACTUALLY WORKED.

I hope this may help someone I had the same error message and would have to remove the battery to restart the camera after taking a picture. the default setting of my a6000 is with the "electric first curtain shutter on" I set it to off and it was then working fine I then set it back to "electric first curtain shutter to off" and it continued to work. I hope it may help someone

issue solved, in my case also the screen didn't work. I tried 3 times beating harder each time: at the first nothing, second try the screen restarted working, third time I could finally take pictures and the writing "turn power..." went away. Thanks you saved me a lot of money literally in 2 minutes!
