Byton Concept EV first ride

The Byton Concept EV was the most interesting electric car announced at CES 2018. It features a giant 49-inch screen that takes up the whole dashboard, an 8-inch touchscreen in the steering wheel, and a whole lot of weird ideas about the future of cars.

Can't imagine how blaring those giant screens would be when driving at night. Also if it gets into a crash is the driver just gonna smash their face into the steering wheel's screen?

Once upon a time when Tesla introduce 2 screen, they whined and complaint about it. But now when someone did overdone screen with a hand gesture that is terrible to use while driving, they were amazed and not complaint.

Yeah I’m not gonna trust it until it shows actual cars being sold and good reviews, even after wear and tear. Faraday future pretty much made it clear that we should expect the worst, even if we hope for the best.

You know an electric car startup means business when their presentation focuses on huge screen, gesture control and rotating chairs instead of performance, autonomy and quality.

Looks really cool. But cars are still meant to take you from point A to point B with the least amount of distractions. They should focus more on driving capabilities. Giant screens and other fancy stuff won't matter much until completely autonomous cars are made.

My dude, I really like your presentation style. Keep it up. Also, I'm rooting for all EV companies to succeed. Tesla alone can't get the whole world off of ICE vehicles, it will take a global effort to achieve this, and then some.
